The Build Your Rig Blog really kicks off in January, but I’m putting the basics in place now. The idea is to create an online book covering vehicle selection, builds, and outfitting for overland adventure. Most of the advice offered will apply to whatever vehicle you choose to build. I chose a 1995 Toyota Land Cruiser, so that’s what you’ll see here–and in the Overland Cruiser series I’m writing for Summit Racing’s On All Cylinders blog (link below).

Once the project Cruiser is built and properly outfitted, I’ll be chronicling its overland adventures for the foreseeable future, here and on Instagram.

Much of the project build will be covered on Summit Racing’s blog, but I’ll post some bonus content and links here as well. For now, here’s an always-up-to-date list of published Summit Racing articles. Near as anyone can tell, there will be ~17 of these, running over the course of a year or more…
